The Salvation Army is anticipating up to 155% more people needing their assistance services this year. Unemployment rates are high, and many people are unable to pay for expenses like bills and food. You can donate to The Salvation Army through Better Boxes Self Storage, and when you do, that money will go directly back into the Fort Mills community.
The Salvation Army usually gets a bulk of the funding for its Rescue Christmas program through its red kettles. But with more people out of work and stores closing, you will see fewer red kettles out this year.
